IEEE Nanotechnology- Enabling Energy Efficiency Preview

On May 19th, 2009 the IEEE Nanotechnology Council will be having a day long symposium that is focusing on the uses of Nanotechnology to enable and enhance energy efficiency.  There will be discussions and papers on topics as varied as a keynote on the recently discovered Memristor, photonics and photovoltaic applications, to fabrication for nanoscale, and the use of nanotechnology in space applications.

The symposium will also feature keynotes on the business and economic impact of nanotechnology in the current world economy, and conclude with a panel discussion on the energy and environmental impact of developing and deploying these new technologies.

The event is in Santa Clara CA.  Registration is avaiable both in advance and at the door.  There is a discount for IEEE members.  Additional information may be found at:
