This was an odd picture of engineers acting “goofy” in front of a weird city landscaped theme.  Tawny Schlieski of Intel’s Experience Insights Lab called it an exercise in educating the computers to distinguish between people and landscapes. This research is being conducted by design engineers and social scientists, among others. That has to be a fun group.

Back in the summer of 2010, Intel announced a new research division called Interaction and Experience Research (IXR). This group was chartered to, “focus on defining new user experiences and new computing platforms.”
