Stereotypical Engineering Humor

Just stumbled upon a funny set of YouTube videos purporting to be about engineers by engineers. Turns out they are sponsored by National Instruments. Clever bit of PR. But the videos must have been written by engineers. They’re very funny. Here’s just one example:

An Enginner’s Guide to Dating, by “An Engineering Mind”

BTW: Here’s the associated website: An Engineering Mind

Happy New Year everyone!

You think our PR team could be that funny? Those are all me! I figured I better get a “sponsored by NI” on the end of them for a little job security, since it’s hard to convince your boss that making funny videos has any relevant ROI for the business. Plus, I can’t really clock hours for doing them. Thanks for the linkage, let me know if you have any good topic ideas. — Todd

All from you?! Then maybe the PR teams need to go back to school.

Always refreshing to see a fellow engineer demonstrate his/her natural creative tendencies in other areas. I look forward to your next episode! And will share any good topic ideas, perhaps one about an engineer doing PR work and the PR folks doing engineering ….
